“The rain ain’t gone, but I can still see clear… Just told believe in Jesus cuz for me he did die… Understanding and wisdom became the rhythm that I played to… That’s who got you doin right and got you this far. Whether you say “in Jesus name” or “Al hum du’Allah”. Long as you know it’s a bein’ that’s supreme to you. You let that show towards others in the things you do.” Common feat. Cee-Lo, “G.O.D. TRUTH. Good morning Daily Dosers! Hurricane Irene has come and gone in some places, but her wrath was felt all over.  People have evacuated towns, flights have been delayed and/or cancelled, and power outages are rampant. Some people who were directly effected by Irene ask, “Why God?” Some students can’t start school, others are unable to catch a plane to start work. I was supposed to be in Cambridge on yesterday, and as many of you read this I am on a 7:30am flight that has a layover in Baltimore. If all goes well I will arrive in Boston at 11:18am, 42 minutes before I’m suppose to report to work at 12 noon.  I was supposed to leave yesterday, but Hurricance Irene altered those plans. Nothing I can do about that.  All I can do is wait as God has His way. Even in the midst of changes – even though I and others cannot carry on as we wish – I know that God is going to work it out.  He is still in control. And even if there is devastation when Irene is done, God is still God. Watch His Throne!!

The DDR: Life changes. We cannot lose our focus as we adapt to those changes. I believe that we are all here for a reason, fulfilling a duty assigned to us by the Most High. Suppose the results of Hurricane Irene are part of that duty. Maybe I had some things in Atlanta to accomplish for God’s assignment this weekend? Sometimes we are not in tune to God’s plans. We want our way. So as I challenge myself I also challenge you to remain focused on the fact that God is still in charge. Because when we lose sight of God, we lose sight of everything. And I am working with my eyes wide open. Remember, he IS the reason! Always keep God first! Enjoy your Monday.
